Snow sculptures
2008

2008-02-18. Me and the dragon Katla.

The sculpture this year had the theme: Astrid Lindgren. She was a famous author writing books for children.

Katla won the first prize. I had voted on him too. The dragon Katla was in the story "The Brothers Lion heart".
I told Katla how a computer named "Dragon" recovered my lost pictures last summer. Katla was listening interesting to me.
I also liked the white horse very much.
The white horse is in the story "Pippi Longstocking" Here you can see Pippi lifting her horse Lille Gubbe. Pippi is very strong
The horse got an icicle on his mouth :-)
This is a sculpture of the author Astrid Lindgren.
Astrid had the children around her. And there is also a real child on this picture too.
This is Karlsson on the Roof. He got the second prize. But most people had chosen him as number 1.
In this sculpture Karlsson was lying on the roof of the old town hall.
Here a bit of the town hall and the clock.
This mouse was real cute.
The mouse with cheese taken from the other site.

This year they had the sculptures behind a fence. This was not so good for taking pictures. But it was for protecting the sculptures.

This is Ronia the Robbers Daughter sitting on the roof of of a  hut there small woods beings lives. It's from the story Ronia the Robbers Daughter.
Ronia the Robber's Daughter on the roof of the cabin.
Sculptures made by children.
Another children sculpture. It was getting dark now and it was "The Blue Hour".
This sculpture is called: "Globe". The words: "Pilutta you" comes from the story Mardie. It is an annoying expression that Lisbeth, Mardie's little sister used  There is also a song named Pilutta song.
Close-up picture.
The globe again. I think it' beautiful.
Pippi Longstocking in bed. But where is she?
Yes, Pippi is there but she is always sleeping with her feet on the pillow and her head under the cover. So you only can see her feet (right).
Now I want to show some pictures of art that God made in winter. A close up picture of white frost. Taken 2004.
A birch glistening in the sunlight. It looks like a silver tree.
White frost and a blue sky. This is gorgeous.
Picture taken 2006.
