Rdluvan in the snow
Part 58
 Cold winter
January 2003

It was very cold in January 2003. The temperature was -20C  = -4,00F  till -29C = -20,20F.. This day it was -18C = -0,40F. But I wanted to go out on a walk Here I'm is showing my thick mittens.

My friend said: Do you really want to go out in the cold? I said. Yes. I want to look at all the beautiful things you can see in winter. The snow is glistening in the sunlight and in the shadow the snow is coloured in blue.

My friend said: Brrrr, I dont want to go out. But please take some pictures so we all can see how everything looks in the cold. And I took pictures. The camera said Click, click, click.

The trees were covered with heavy snow. The sunlight did not reach the ground in the woods. But the woods looked so peaceful in the snow.

Even the trunks of the trees were covered with snow.

And the pines had a white hat.

I had a gorgeous view from the hilltop. Far away behind the town were more woods with snow covered trees.

Some trees had white frost.

It was beautiful to see the snow covered trees in the sunset.

The sun was going down in bright red.

And the full moon was going in a pink sky. It still was not dark when the moon went up.

And it was real cold to walk, but it was wonderful too. And I had a good warm jacket. But beware of the wolf when you are in the woods, Red Riding Hood :-)

I laughing and said: I already met the wolf in the summer 2002. This was in the Lycksele zoo. The gate was open because the zoo-keeper was to the wolf with food. I almost could pat the wolf. This wolf was a and a leader of the wolf pack.

He was posing for the camera. And this wolf was a nice wolf. :-)
