Rödluvan in the snow
Part 16. Snow sculptures

2007-02-03

My new friend, the snow reindeer. :-)

When  I awoke there was a gorgeous sunset.

At March 3 I took the bus to town. I should look at the snow sculptures.

This sculpture is called: Utopia. And it got the first prize. The spire of the tower is an icicle. Small people made of snow are walking under the tower.

A near picture of gorgeous spire.

Here you can see the small people on the other side of the tower.

And here they are coming out in a line.

This sculpture is called: Tripp, trapp, trull. On the site you can't see that there are also people made of snow on the right site. You only see this a little.

This sculpture is called: Värsta Vespan. That means the worse motor scooter. There is a reindeer sitting on it. It was my favourite because I think it's very funny

I said: "You are my new snow friend this year. Last year I had a polar bear made of ice. But now I have a reindeer made of snow." :-)

This sculpture is called: Puls. I think it's beautiful.

A flock of jackdaws were flying over town.

This sculpture is called: City beat.

The sculpture City Beat taken from the other side.

This sculpture is called: Apberget. That means The Monkey Mountain. I liked this one very much.

A real friendly monkey face

A pig made of ice.

Another picture of the pig made of ice.

This sculpture is made of stone and is permanent. It's Gustav Rosén 1876 - 1942. He was a county governor.
This sculpture is called: Livligt. That means, lively.
This sculpture is called: Naturkultur. That means Nature culture. The sculptures shows dog's dung. The 2 brown things on the sculpture are a pair of lost gloves. NOT dog's dung. I hope the owner will find them. There is a little child looking inside the sculpture. You only can see the edge of her hood.
These sculptures were made by school children.
A glistening ice sculpture. I loved it. In real is was so sparkling.
Late at night at March 3 there was an eclipse of the moon. God, the creator of heaven and earth showed HIS art.
Later the moon was coloured in copper red. But on the picture it looked more like orange. This was magnificent.
