2008-03-28. Me in the park with the ducks. I took the picture myself by holding the camera in front of me.

Spring-winter is the time of the year when it still is winter. But it's lighter and the sun begins to warm. People can go out on skies or walk and ejoy the sun on the clear white snow. But int spring-winter there also can come weather backslash with icy wind and sleet.

2008-03-28.  I went to the ducks. There was ice on the pond.
2008-03-28. The ducks were waiting for me
2008-03-28. Some males waiting for food.

2008-03-28. A beautiful female.
2008-03-28. This female is not afraid and dare to be on the bridge railing near me and take a bit of bread.
2008-03-28. Now she took the bread out of my hand.
2008-03-28. Yummy!
2008-03-28. She got another bit.

2008-04-02. It seemed to be spring. The snow disappeared on most places. Then the squirrel could find the food that was left on the ground.
2008-04-02. But then I happened to scare the squirrel and it went up in the tree and was looking at me.
2008-04-02. After that the squirrel took a jump and disappeared in the pines.
2008-04-04. Now the pond was free from ice and the snow had melted on the path.
2008-04-04. The ducks were eating the food in the glistening water.
2008-04-04. And the water began to drop down from the roof.

2008-04-04. Ducks standing in a ring.
2008-04-04. Ducks with the creek.
2008-04-04. Her you can see the outlet from the underground creek. This makes that the a bit of the pond never will freeze.
2008-04-04. A little girl, who also had a red hood, fed the ducks.
2008-04-04. Here the ducks were following me again. The path was wet now because of the melting snow.
2008-04-04. Here they are following me again when I walked back to the bridge.
2008-04-04. Shall I sing a song for you?

2008-05-05. I bought  3 yellow tulips on bulbs on my way home from work. The sun was shining and the snow was melting away.
2008-04-07. Spring??   FORGET IT !!!!   :-(
Red Riding Polka Dot Hood
I was dreaming about last summer. The summer rain made paerls on the lilacs. This picture was taken 2007-06-13.
The same day the Spanish fox Zorro moved in into my home. what a wonderful day this was.
But still it was winter.
2008-04-11. I bought these purple tulips. To make spring indoors.
2008-04-13. It was snowing again!
2008-04-13. I was a little while on the balcony. And made a grumpy face for the photo. It  looks  so funny with that face , he, he, crazy Mrs Hood! :-).
2008-04-13. A cold wind was blowing and the snow drifted to the door. I was longing for spring. I was thinking of this poem.

It hurts when the buds burst.

Of course it hurts when buds burst.
Otherwise why would spring hesitate?
Why would all our fervent longing
be bound in the frozen bitter haze?
The bud was the casing all winter.
What is this new thing, which consumes and bursts?
Of course it hurts when buds burst,
pain for that which grows
and for that which envelops.
