Rödluvan and the ducks
in the cold
Part 11
30 March - 3 April 2009 |
|
|
Me standing by the bridge. It
was snowing again. It was sleet. If you look at the green of
the pine tree you can see the sleet coming down. 2009-04-03. |
|
2009-03-30. The injured duck came
flying to me again and got food. |
|
2009-03-30. He was flying to the
side of the bridge with the bread in hus beak. But the other ducks
were looking at him....... |
|
2009-03-30. They were walking to
him. And the poor injured duck could not walk away. |
|
2009-03-30. They attacked him and
went flapping with his wings. |
|
2009-03-30. The female on the
bridge railing was rather curious to see what was going on. |
|
2009-03-30. Here you can see that
the injured duck looks tangled. But the ducks did not get the bread.
I gave it to the injured duck. I felt so sorry for this duck. |
|
2009-03-30. Fortunately Quackely
was a healthy duck. She was looking at me. |
|
2009-03-30. The ducks on the ground
got food. |
|
2009-03-30. Then suddenly:
FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP!!
The red hooded woman came with her
white dog. Again the ducks were scared of this little harmless dog
that did not do anything. The dog was just walking. Crazy ducks. |
|
2009-03-30. The ducks on the path
saw me. |
|
2009-03-30. They were walking after
me again. |
|
2009-03-31. The squirrel in the
woods by work had his lunch. |
|
2009-03-31. When people were
walking on the little parking lot to the park, the ducks did not
react. But when I came, they run to me while she still was on
the parking lot. |
|
2009-03-31. The injured duck was
flying to me again |
|
2009-03-31. Here he got another
bit. |
|
2009-03-31. Here he was flying so
high so he almost landed on my hood :-) |
|
2009-03-31. This was better, now he
could take the bread. |
|
2009-03-31. Quack-quack and
Quackely were on the bridge again. |
|
2009-03-31. Quack-quack, quack,
quack, quack-quack! Quackely was biting him and said: "Be silent
Quack-quack." |
|
2009-03-31. Quack-quack was so
eager to get bread so he tipped over the railing. |
|
2009-03-31. Now the whole gang was
on the bridge again. The jackdaw was also there. |
|
2009-03-31. The jackdaw was waiting
for little crumbs that the big ducks left. |
|
2009-03-31. Ducks eating on the
path. |
|
2009-03-31. It was cold this day
too and there was more ice in the pond. I made a little walk
to the other side of the park. |
|
2009-03-31. Then the ducks were
walking with me . This looked so funny :-) |
|
2009-03-31. Ducks on the snow wall. |
|
2009-03-31. This jackdaw was flying
up in the tree near the pond. And should land on a twig. But the
twig was to thin and then the jackdaw felt down from the tree and
was landing in the snow.
Here he is sitting and was rather
confused. |
|
2009-04-01. Quackely and
Quack-quack in the sunlight. The sun was reflecting in the water. |
|
2009-04-01. Yummy :-) |
|
2009-04-01. Quackely tried to chase
Quack-quack to get his bread. |
|
2009-04-01. A beautiful male. |
|
2009-04-01. These ducks got food. |
|
2009-04-01. A man came and put out
a small pieces of bread in the snow. This duck saw it. |
|
2009-04-01. Soon the other ducks
saw it too and were eating. |
|
2009-04-01. Ducks sleeping on the
bridge. They did not care when people were passing by. |
|
2009-04-01. Suddenly I saw a
male begging for food. He could not walk so well |
|
2009-04-01. I was thinking
about the duck with the injured leg. But then I saw it was the duck
with the injured foot who I had seen January 30. I gave him
bread |
|
2009-04-01. He was looking so
thankful to me. |
|
2009-04-01. His tail looked a
little better as before. But he still could not walk well. |
|
2009-04-01. The other ducks
came and were faster to get the food. |
|
2009-04-01. I tried to throw
the food as near to him as she could. |
|
2009-04-01. He was looking to
me again. I wished that she could learn him to fly up
to me. Like the other injured duck did. |
|
2009-04-01. He sat down. He could
not stand up a long while. |
|
2009-04-01. And there he was
sitting in the middle of the bike path. A bike could run into him
and hurt him more. |
|
2009-04-01. I tried to chase
away him carefully. But he did not move so much |
|
2009-04-01. Then Rödluvan said: "GO
AWAY FROM THE BIKE PATH!" |
|
2009-04-01. Then he moved and flew
to the water. And I saw he could fly well. |
|
2009-04-02. The squirrel in the
woods by work was running in the snow. |
|
2009-04-02. Here two squirrels were
eating the seed that was on the ground. |
|
2009-04-02. The ducks were looking
at the bike. But they were used with bikes. |
|
2009-04-02. I was feeding
the duck beside the creek. Then the others came waking on the path
to her. |
|
2009-04-02. Quack-quack got food.
In the background you can see the creek. |
|
2009-04-02. It looks like
Quack-quack and Quackely are kissing again. |
|
2009-04-02. Quack-quack and
Quackely were still eating. Then another male was flying up for
bread. But he missed the railing and then:
BONK!
He was landing on the side of the railing. |
|
2009-04-02. The injured duck got
food again but he dropped the bread. |
|
2009-04-02. A wolf (dog) was coming
over the bridge with his dad. Then there were no ducks on the
bridge, they flew away. But the ducks who were near me stayed.
But they were watching the dog well. |
|
2009-04-03. Ducks near and under
the bridge. |
|
2009-04-03. Ducks on the path
beside the creek |
|
2009-04-03. Quackely got bread. She
had a little snow on her backs. |
|
2009-04-03. Ducks near the creek
who were eating. |
|
2009-04-03. Ducks coming to
me. |
|
2009-04-03. This duck got white
spots of the snow on his feathers |
|
2009-04-03. And I got white
spots on my hood. |
