Rödluvan and the ducks in the cold
Part 6
24 - 26 February 2009

I went to my duck friends again. I feel happy to be with the ducks. But it was BITTERL cold. I was freezing on my hands.

The picture is taken by a red hooded woman who also used to feed the ducks.

2009-02-24. Quackely was happy to get food again.
2009-02-24. It's real fun to hear the birds flying with their  "Flap, flap, flap, flap".
2009-02-24. Quackely was real greedy.
2009-02-24. It was beautiful to see this duck flying.
2009-02-24. Here he was ready for landing.
2009-02-24. Quackely was landing on the bridge railing again.
2009-02-24. And was begging for food.
2009-02-24. Now there came two males.
2009-02-24. And another female came.
2009-02-24. Quackely scared away the male.
2009-02-24. The two females got food.
2009-02-24. Quackely was flapping with her wings.
2009-02-24. Quack-quack visited the bridge.
2009-02-24. Quackely said: "Hello Quack-quack" and then she flapped with her wings again.
2009-02-24. Now both were resting while they were looking at me and my food bag.
2009-02-24. Yummy :)
2009-02-24. Yummy again.
2009-02-24. Yummy for me too.
2009-02-24.  Look at the left, there you see Quackery's head.
2009-02-24. Quackely took a piece of bread again.
2009-02-24. Quack-quack was eating bread.
2009-02-24. He, he, they are looking so funny :)
2009-02-24. There are huge piles of snow behind the man.
2009-02-24. Also today there were many ducks in the pond. This pond was the only place in town there the water is not frozen.
2009-02-24. I dropped bread in the snow.
2009-02-24. Flap, flap!
2009-02-24. The ducks were sitting on the snow and had their legs under their feathers.
2009-02-24. Ducks sitting on the bridge.
2009-02-24. Quack-quack was flying to the bridge railing. Quackely was waiting for me to get some bread.
2009-02-24. Quack-quack came back and was also waiting for food.
2009-02-24. Two ducks on the ground looking up to me.
2009-02-24. The female got some bread.
2009-02-24. These ducks were walking on a tractor track.
2009-02-24. When I wanted to give two females bread, they flew away. Not all the ducks were so tame as Quack-Quack and Quackely.
2009-02-24. Quackely got food again.
2009-02-24. There was a lot of snow in the park.
2009-02-24. The other bridge was not plowed. People made a little path when they walked there..
2009-02-24. Here you can see the huge piles of snow again. Later they took away them with a tractor and a truck.
2009-02-24. Me in the low sunlight. But the sun did not warm that time of the year.
2009-02-25. Ducks in the snow by the pond.
2009-02-25. FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP! Why were they flyiging to the other side of the pond?
2009-02-25. Because the red hooded woman came with food.
2009-02-25. The sunlight was reflecting in the water.
2009-02-26.  FLAP, FLAP, FALP, FLAP!
2009-02-26. FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP! The ducks saw me coming with food and they flew to me.
2009-02-26. The ducks learned that they could get food from me if they were sitting on the bridge railing.
2009-02-26.Ducks on the ground eating the food.
2009-02-26. But this duck could not walk so well. I fed him.

This was not the same duck as the one with the injured foot. This duck had instead an injured leg. He also looked tangled. And his tail did not look well neither.

2009-02-26. Poor fellow :-(
2009-02-26. The tractor was taking away the huge piles of snow. The snow was tipped on a truck and they drove it to a dumping place for snow. They needed to take away the snow, otherwise the park should be drowned in the spring.
2009-02-26. The ducks were not bothered of the truck. Quack-quack and Quackely were relaxing on the bridge.
2009-02-26. Quack-quack was hungry, as always :)
2009-02-26. Psst, shall we have a little fight?
2009-02-26. He, he, look at her wings :)
2009-02-26. Quack-quack did loose the game and had to fly away.
2009-02-26. But he was back soon :-)
2009-02-26. Hi Quackely, I'm back!
2009-02-26. Now both were sitting and resting.
2009-02-26. Me, Quack-quack and Quackely. I was cold and had to go inside.
2009-02-26. I had hot pea soup and pancake to lunch in the restaurant. You have mustard to the soup. (on the edge of the plate) and strawberry sylt to the pancake.
