Rödluvan and the ducks
in the cold Part 2
January
2009
I went to my duck friends
again.
2009-01-20. It was snowing again.
2009-01-20. These ducks came
walking in a line to me.
2009-01-20. Behind them the rest of
the gang was coming.
2009-01-20. They were eager to get
the bread.
2009-01-20. Here some ducks were
flying to me.
2009-01-20. And landing in front of
her.
2009-01-20. Eating again.
2009-01-20. A women who lives near
the park took this picture of me.
2009-01-20. The pond looked dark on
this dusk day.
2009-01-20. One duck has problems
with waking on the wall of snow.
2009-01-21. This duck was flying up
to me and took the bread out of my hand.
2009-01-21. I had many ducks
around my feet. I hardly could walk away :-)
2009-01-21. I took
this picture myself in the mirror in the tunnel.
2009-01-21. These mirrors are on
the walls so you can see if somebody is coming from a crossing
tunnel. There can come trucks so you have to watch out.
2009-01-22. More hungry ducks.
2009-01-22. This day a lot of snow
was melting away. And it was dusk and grey.
2009-01-22. The female bridge duck
felt happy to get the food.
2009-01-22. Now there came another
female.
2009-01-22. Here a male was coming
behind the female. I fed him too.
2009-01-22. Many ducks were
following me over the bridge.
2009-01-22. Other people hardly
could walk there and had to chase them to the side of the bridge.
But nobody was angry. All people were smiling because of the ducks.
2009-01-22. Here you can see the
strange duck couple together.
2009-01-22. I was smiling about
all these funny ducks.
2009-01-23. This day was very dusk
and grey.
2009-01-23. This picture is rather
dull in the damp and dusk weather.
2009-01-23. But the bridge ducks
were happy again to get food.
2009-01-23. Here the female got
bread and the male was looking at her.
2009-01-23. Whoops! The bridge duck
happened to fall off the railing and had to fly.
2009-01-27. I was standing
in the hall at the hospital. And saw this wolf (dog) through the
window.
2009-01-27. It's a German shepherd
dog.
2009-01-27. But I was not
afraid of the wolf. Here I'm is back in the park, still
smiling
2009-01-27. Many ducks were waiting
for food.
2009-01-27.
Fortunately many other
people came with food.
2009-01-27. This woman in her red
hooded jacket lives near the park. She was very kind with animals and
came 3 times a week with food. Then she had bread but also
chicken
food with her.
2009-01-27. The ducks were around
the woman and I could take pictures of the ducks.
2009-01-27. Waiting for the chicken
food.
2009-01-27. Here they got the
chicken food. They were so hungry and standing on each other in hope
to reach the food.
2009-01-27. Oh my! So much ducks on
one place.
2009-01-27. I fed this duck
who dare to eat out of my hand.
2009-01-27. The others still
were fighting go reach the chicken food.
2009-01-27. I was sitting
beside the eating ducks. The brown powder on the ground is the
chicken food. It's very fine. But good for the ducks.
2009-01-27. When I took up a
bit of bread some ducks were interested. The women who came with
the chicken food took these pictures.
2009-01-27. Still eating of the
chicken food.
2009-01-27. The Sunday before this
date there happened something exciting in the park. Ornithologists
found a rare bird in the park by the hospital. It was a
Dark Throated Thrush (Turdus
ruficollis). I'm never in the park on Saturday or Sunday.
They put up these apples in hope that the
thrush
should come back but he never came back again.
2009-01-28. Now a crow was landing
near me. Of course he got some bread too.
2009-01-28. Such a sweet couple.
2009-01-28. I made art of
the couple. :)
2009-01-28. The bridge duck was to
near the camera.
2009-01-28. Can I get some food?
2009-01-28. Here he got food.
2009-01-28. The bridge ducks. Crows
in the background.
2009-01-28. A guy passed the
bridge an he started to stamp on the bridge and then
.........."Flap, flap, flap, flap!" all were flying away.
I was laughing, the guy was so funny and he was laughing too.
It was no problem that they flew
away. Soon they came back.
2009-01-28. The male bridge duck
near the camera. He looks so funny on this picture.
2009-01-28. Another dusk and dark
view over the pond.
2009-01-29. A red tent he, he :)
2009-01-29. The ducks were
following me again.
2009-01-29. The snow wall did cause
problems for the ducks when they tried to walk over it. It was
better to fly.
2009-01-29. The female bridge duck
again.
2009-01-29. Flying over the pond.
2009-01-29. Arguing bridge ducks.
2009-01-29. The fat male got a big
bit of bread :-)
2009-01-29.I should feed the
duck in the backgrond but then this duck came from the left and took
the bread.
And he happened to bite in my finger. I got a very
little mark on my finger. But this was not serious at all.
2009-01-29. A wolf was passing. The
ducks moved a little but they knew that the dog was on the leash.
2009-01-29. The little furry crow
was there again I loved him.
2009-01-30. A new dusk day by the
pond. In this set of pictures it was cloudy and grey every day.
2009-01-30. And the same bridge
duck.
2009-01-30. The male at the right
tried to take a bit of the bread out of the female's beak. He, he it
looks like she is feeding the male.
2009-01-30. He got a bit of bread
from her.
2009-01-30. Queuing up for the food.
2009-01-30. She got food first.
2009-01-30. There was something
strange with this duck.
2009-01-30. He had en injured leg.
Poor thing!
2009-01-30. He only could walk a
little and was sitting down all the time.
2009-01-30. A man was feeding the
ducks.
2009-01-30. Then I could
take care of the injured duck.
2009-01-30. Just look at the leg.
How sad. I gave him as much food as I could.
2009-01-30. Some ducks came flying.
2009-01-30. The guy was still
feeding the other ducks.
2009-01-30.
Suddenly 2 ducks came in a
fight.
2009-01-30. The looser flew away.
2009-01-30. Males in the water.
When I came home I enjoyed my wooden decoration ducks. These
are real artwork. I like
them so much, she got them from a neighbour.
2009-01-30. And I'm still was
smiling about the ducks in the park by the hospital.
