King Bore

The King of Winter

I met him a cold and windy morning. He was standing on the market place down town and he was made of transparent glistening ice. He did not have a crown, but he did not need it because his hair was glistening in the sunlight. God, who has the power for both winter and summer, created King Bore to rule the world at winter.

King Bore looked friendly to me. I said: "Oh King Bore, I am so glad to meet you. You are so beautiful. But when I touch you, I feel cold. I am not made for winter climate".

.
King Bore answered: "No you are not made for winter. You should freeze to death without a home and without warm clothes. But even though the winter is cold and hard, I will show you something. Go out and look at all the things God created at winter. And it will make you happy.

And I went out and went happy of all the glistening beauty the winter showed me. And took a lot of pictures. I also took a picture of King Bore.

King Bore said: "There will come a day when it will be spring and then I have to move on. But then my wife, The Queen of Spring, will rule the world. She will come with warmth and beautiful smelling flowers. And the birds will sing their songs when she comes. But the time for The Queen of Spring is not here yet. I will still rule the world with ice and snow.

.
I awoke and was shivering of cold. I was sick in fever. It was difficult to breath. I was coughing and did not sleep so well. I was sick in a virus and needed to rest.

A cold wind was blowing and it was snowing so heavy. The fever was burning in my body and I felt asleep.

God gave me a sweet dream. I was dreaming about the Queen of Spring. She had a dress made of white and nice smelling flowers. The sun was shining and was warming up the earth. The birds were singing there happy songs. And I had my  friends around me. We went singing together and the birds did accompany us with their chirping.

.
Time went by and I went well again. But I was tired. It was still winter and still cold. But it was so beautiful outside. I went out in the sun with my kick sleigh. The temperature was 14 Fahrenheit, I needed warm clothes.

Some of the birds, the ones who use to stay at winter, were already starting to sing. I was riding the kick sleigh on the glistening snow. The wind was blowing cold and my face went red because of the cold.

The cold continued. It became very cold. And at night there were a thousands of stars, shining brightly in the clear sky. One night I saw the gorgeous northern lights.

.
I was enjoying everything winter showed me. But deep inside I was longing to be well and longing to meet The Queen of Spring. But King Bore whispered in my ear: "Have patience, it is too early for The Queen of Spring to arrive"

"Time is not ready for spring yet. But God will take care of you. Your sorrow will be gone and everything will be all right when spring is here".
