Slowly I recovered and I could go to work again. Then God showed me gorgeous winter nature. Such a comfort this was after all the things that were cancelled when I was sick.

Christmas Eve 2008-12-24

Me standing by the tree.
It was a white Christmas. This picture is so beautiful. This house is standing cross the street there I live. And this Christmas I had jokes about houses. :-)
Our son came to celebrate Christmas. Here he is standing beside me in his grey hooded jacket.  (this picture taken 2008-12-09)
First we had dinner and had the typical Swedish Christmas table.
Lennart had put all the packages under the tree. And took this picture while I was caring for the table.
Lennart took this picture too. Santa and at the left a new red glass Christmas ball.
After the dinner we opened the presents. This year I had wrapped the presents for Lennnart in house advertising newspaper. I collected small empty boxes in the basement  for this occasion.
I bought this penguin calendar for Lennart.
And a pengiun bag. I use to buy a penguin present for Lennart every year. Because his computer is named: "The Penguin. I gave his computer that name because Lennart installed Linux on it.
Here I was joking and wrapped that stone to Lennart. And wrote. "Here you get the first stone to your future house."
I bought this soap for Lennart.
Lennart should open this present at the end. (last) There was a wrapping paper around it with pictures of houses.
Lennart taking away the wrapping paper.
And the present was........ A HOUSE ! :-)
It was a house with a lamp inside. Lennart liked it very much.
The day I bought it I test it. Here you can se how cute the house is.
Ove and Lennart after the wrapping. Ove playing with his laptop.
Ove got this present from me.  It seems to be an electric water kettle.
But out cam an old dusty flower pot. I had put in that thing so it should feel heavy and like a real kettle.
But what was the real present? I gave him money for a dance trip to the boat Cinderella.

Every year they mention in Sweden a thing for the Christmas present of the year. One year it was a cap, another year a radio (and so on). But this year the Christmas present of the year was an experience present. For example: To give away a trip, or giving a visit to a theatre. Then I gave Ove an experience present for dancing.

I got a present card for a CD from Lennart. He had wrapped it in the wonderful glistening bag.
I bought a CD with all kind of Swedish dance bands. The CD is a collection of a dance band competition on TV.
I got a present card from Ove too.
I wished small thing this year. From Ove I got a calendar with fireman and cats, deodorant, Norwegian Helly Hansen socks, and 2 small ducks and one goose. And the CD (picture above).
The ducks and goose are made of plastic . They have the German trade mark Schleich. But unfortunately they only had one goose left in the shop. That's why Ove only could buy one goose.  I got the other goose later.
This is an USB flashlight that Ove bought for me. You load it on your computer.
I got this wonderful bird made of glass from a friend in Great Britain.
I got these  ornaments, a goose and an owl, from two different friends. They were bought in Germany. German speaking birds :)
I got the squirrel magnet book mark from a friend in the USA
I got this snowman duck and the angels from a friend in the USA.
Lennart tried to let the duck float on the water. But his hat was to high so the duck tipped over. Here Lennart is holding the duck.
Here Lennart and Ove were looking at soap flakes that I got and how you should open the plastic jar. They were rather amused.
I got this music box, a ceramic tiger and soap and powder  and a heart candle light from a friend in the USA. When the music box was playing, the two Santa went "skating" on the rink.
The white tiger. At Christmas for many years ago I got a brown ceramic tiger from the same friend. And now they are a nice couple :-)
I got this from a neighbour.
The package contained Cinnamon tea. It tasted delicious.
I got this from work. A thermos made of steel and 2 cups in a bag.
I got this from the Office shop. At the left a kind of puzzle and at the rignt a sponge that can take away dirty spots from things.
Lennart bought these beautiful Christmas cards for me.
Me ( in soft hooded cardigan) looking at her presents.
And the two frogs, the squirrels the fox and the two Santa were smiling. :-)
2008-12-30. I saw the bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula in the woods by work again. On the left picture in the left corner you also can see a grey bird. That's the female bullfinch.
2008-12-30. In the afternoon the new moon was going down. Then I also saw the evening star.
2008-12-31. The angels I got for Christmas could glow in the dark. It looks real cool :-)
2008-12-31. I made pizza to New years supper. And had candles on the table. But the candles on the table near the flower are candles on battery operation. The others are real.
2008-12-31. Fireworks on the yard. The one on the right did light up the whole street.
2008-12-31. Also this morning there was a beautiful sunrise.
2008-12-31.  It's real gorgeous.
2008-01-01.  In the afternoon the crescent moon and the evening star were going up. The little white spot is the evening star.
Here I was looking up to the wishing star that was shining so bright in the sky. (But this star is made in Photo shop). She felt thankful for the wonderful Christmas that I could celebrate with my family. But still I may wish upon a star.

And I wished.

2009-01-04.  There was a late Christmas present in hte mialbox for me from the USA. These cute ducks :-)
