Foxy and art in the woods

Here I'm going in into woods made of roots and stumps.

In former times people believed that there were all kind beings of  the woods like  troll gnomes and witches. At night many things in the woods looks like if there are beings with eyes stirring at you in the dark.

This wood has art figures that an artist made. Follow Foxy and look at the figures.
The art wood looked like this. With the first look it looks like a muddle.

But you have to go closer and look. And use your fantasy. I wrote down what I think the figures represent. But this is my own observation. Others can see other thing in the figures.

On this picture you can see me. I'm camouflaged :-)
We use to call this kind of figures "gubbe". There is no  suitable word for "gubbe" in English. Word Finder says: "Old man". And this is right. A "gubbe" is a name for an old man. But we also use that word for a figures the has eyes, nose, mouth. I will in this site use the word "figure" for such a thing.

This one looks like a forest troll.

Here I see all kind of animals and birds.
I think this are all kind of forest beings. In the background the house there the artist lives.
The "figure" at the right is Ove :-)

The artist told me this is a vittra. It is a kind of being that keeps cattle. People believed they existed in real. And they look like people.

The artist also made paintings that he decorated with bark and iron.
The artist had some interesting exhibition rooms. Here he had an open fire. The top of this room was like in a Sami tent with a hole in the top so the smoke can go out.

The artist told us that this is a God of Woods. I liked this figure very much.

An exhibition room with wonderful paintings and a sculptures.
Here a nice figure, he looks like a worker.
There is something special with the floor in this room. The artist made an artificial quagmire. But it is not a real swamp. He made rubber under this and than it was like it was a real quagmire. I dare to go on it. You can easy fall.
I loved these nature sculptures.
Here were things made of iron. The artist also wrote wonderful poems.

I love this view with the fire weeds and the fence. At the right a kick sleigh that is "standing up".
I think this is a fish and 2 rabbits under the fish.
We heard and saw the raven flying over.
The artist told that this is a sculpture of the raven.
The water bowl beside the raven is made of cement. But there is a patter of a real rhubarb leave made in it.

I heard something rattling like it went raining. Then I found this pin that was hollow. There was something iside that made it rattling. The artist told that this was a pin for making rain. The Indians used this.
And the rain came. Some days later. It was raining  in 24  hours!
I think this figure is a man.

Ove on the country road.  His car was parked on the side of the road.
We visited friends and we were sitting in thier garden. Then a ghost appeared from the woods in the distance.

Now I have too much fantasy :-)
