Foxy and the Swedish National Day
2007 and 2009

2007-06-06. Me in the woods in yellow and blue, the colours of the Swedish flag. I'm on my way through the woods to celebrate the Swedish National Day.
The Swedish flag 2006. That year it was a little cloudy.
The Swedish national Day 2007. Flags in a blue sky.

The celebration of the national day was at the open air museum. First the soldiers were coming carrying the flag.

After the soldiers the band was coming. Here they are playing.

Here the band is sitting and playing.
Glistening bass tubas.
Here a men's choir is singing Swedish songs.
Children from Russia visited Sweden and were singing.
Here he Russian children were dancing.
A Swedish dancing group was showing up Swedish folk dance.
Here the music was sounding very happy.
More Swedish folk dancing.
A little poodle was sitting under a table. It was nice for the dog to be in the shadow.
This is a kind of soft plastic cushion you can use it for sitting in the grass. Then you are protected from the cold and wet ground. The town gave these to people who were at the national day.
But then people also began to use it as a sunhat :-).
Flowers in the colours of the Swedish flag.

My table flags.

Me in yellow and blue and the flag at the balcony.

We had baked salmon in the oven to dinner. With boiled potatoes lettuce, peas and fish sauce. Taken 2007-06-06.

2009-06-05. They made special pastries for the national day. I took this picture in a shop. But did not buy any pastry.
2009-06-06. The band was coming and playing at national day.
2009-06-06. A mala choir singing at the national day.
2009-06-06. National day celebrating at Gammlia open air museum. In spring (early summer) the leaves and the grass is light green and this is beautiful.
2009-06-06. Folk dancing.
2009-06-06. It was good to come inside in the warmth and put on the oven. I made a kind of gratin with Falukorv = lightly-smoked and boiled sausage. I baked the dish with tomato, cheese and mustard in the oven.
2009-06-06. A closer picture of the Falukorv dish.
2009-06-06. Happy me at the open air museum. At this picture I needed robust jeans over my soft pants and a soft hooded cardigan under the jacket. On this picture I used the soft blue hood as a scarf around my neck, to protect against the cold.
